Shettles Method
Of all the methods a couple can use to help select their babies gender this is the most well known. This method has been used by couples for more than thirty years and there is plenty of scientific prove to back up just how successful this method is.
To use this method the couple needs to know exactly when the woman is ovulating and to detect when this is they need to use either an ovulation prediction kit or a basal body thermometer. Once the couple know when the woman is ovulating to conceive a girl they need to make love 2 to 4 days prior to ovulation taking place or a few days have it has.
Method O+12
This method was developed by a mother in Australia who had followed the above method for many years and only ever had sons. What she discovered was that in order for her to conceive a girl it was far better if she and her partner made love just after she had ovulated and seems somewhat contrary to what Dr Shettles suggests. Yet after deciding to use this method rather than staying with the Shettles method this Australian mother finally gave birth to the baby daughter she and her partner had always wanted.
